The First International Conference and Exhibition "Joining of Aluminium Structures" was successfully held in "Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya" Hotel on December 3-5, 2007. It was organized by Alusil MVT company. The Conference was officially supported by Aluminium Extruders Association (AEA) (Russia), E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute (Ukraine), Russian Welding Society (Russia), Aluminium Association (USA), European Industrial Fasteners Institute (UK), National Association of Automotive Components Manufacturers (Russia). 65 delegates from 51 companies representing 12 countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Austria, Belgium, UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, USA, France, Switzerland - took part in the Forum.
Advanced technologies of joining of aluminium structures - such as a wide range of mechanical joining elements by Wurth Rus JSC, progressive friction stir welding technology by MTS Sytems Corporation, technology of welded-brazed heat-exchangers manufactured by Gazkholodtekhnika LLC, automobile discs by Disk BB JSC - were represented at the Exhibition, that was organized in the frame of the Conference.
Almost all the types of aluminium joints - such as welding, brazing, mechanical joints - were discussed during the Conference. 33 papers of the Russian and foreign experts simultaneously translated into English and Russian were presented at the Conference.

On the final day of the Conference the participants had an opportunity to visit Tecnology Center Tena LLC (Moscow) and Gazkholodtechnika LLC (Moscow).
The social programm of the Conference included a night bus-tour "Moscow Lights" and a welcome reception at the Hotel.
