«Alusil MVT» has completed the translation from German into Russian of the handbook "Extrusion", published by Aluminium-Verlag Marketing and Kommunikation GmbH (Germany) in 2001. The book provides encyclopedic knowledge on extrusion, covering the most commonly used metals - aluminium, magnesium, brass, copper, titanium, steel and heatproof alloys. Almost all basic areas are examined in detail: extrusion principles, metallurgy of the extruded materials, machinery, equipment, tooling and quality management. The Book's distinctive reference to actuality is ensured by over 500 expert contributions, which were drafted by specialists from the largest corporations and scientists from numerous technical universities in 2001. The book followed the traditions set by the first edition by Kurt Laue and Helmut Stenger in 1976. Unfortunately it was not translated into Russian. The authors - editors - Dr. Martin Bauser , Prof . Dr .- Ing . Gunter Sauer , Prof . Dr .- Ing . Klaus Siegert did an excellent job, managing to preserve the values of the first edition which is considered as a bible of extrudion today. The Russian version will additionally list the technical literature published in Russian, a classified listing of aluminium extrusion equipment manufacturers and suppliers as well as the Russian extruders.
