The First International Conference & Exhibition “Aluminium Casting” was successfully held in “Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya” Hotel in March 27-29, 2007. It was organized by ALUSIL-MVT under financial support of the Holding “Industrial Company “Vtormet” and Hertwich Engineering GmbH. The Conference gathered 170 representatives from 107 companies of 17 countries of Europe, Northern America, Asia and Africa.
18 exhibiting companies demonstrated their achievements in the development of state-of-the-art equipment, modern technologies and materials for aluminium casting. Among them, ALCRON GmbH, Aliter-Axi, CCS Service, EMP Technologies, Foseco, GEMCO Cast Metal Technology, Hertwich Engineering GmbH, LAND Instruments International, Mechatherm International Limited, Rex Materials Group, SECO/WARWICK S.A., SELEE Corporation, SIZ-Pumori, Textime, Thermcon Ovens B.V., IC “Vtormet”, Wagstaff Inc., YXLON International X - Ray GmbH.
On behalf of the Organization Committee the companies Wagstaff Inc., IC “Vtormet”, Hertwich Engineering GmbH and Stupino Metallurgical Plant were awarded diplomas and gifts in recognition of their great contribution to the development of casting equipment and technologies for aluminium alloys.
47 papers of the Russian and foreign experts simultaneously translated into English and Russian were presented at the Conference.

On the final day of the Conference the participants visited the foundries of the Industrial Company "Vtormet" and Stupino Metallurgical Plant.
The cultural program included a night bus-tour around Moscow "Moscow Lights" and a welcome reception at "Vysotka" entertainment center where everybody wished had a chance to compete in bowling.
As the optional cultural program for the Conference participants and accompanying persons the Organization Committee offered a bus-trip to Sergiev Posad, a rare old russian town in the necklace of the Gold Ring cities of Russia and a visit to the Holy Trinity-St.Sergius Lavra - a unique architectural ensemble, a pilgrimage and sacred place of the Russian Orthodox Church.
