The First International Conference and Exhibition “Aluminium Extrusion Tooling” was successfully held in “Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya” Hotel in November 14-16, 2007. It was organized by Alusil MVT and Aluminium Extruders Association (AEA) within the framework of the 13th International Specialized Exhibition “Metal-Expo’2007”. Sponsors of the Conference were the world-famous companies COMPES SPA, KIND & CO. EDELSTAHLWERK è METAL-EXPO, JSC. Almost 110 representatives from 68 companies representing 16 countries of Europe, Asia, North America, Canada and the Middle East attended the Forum.
Nine exhibiting companies from Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Malaysia demonstrated their achievements in the development of state-of-the-art extrusion equipment, modern technologies and materials for aluminium extrusion tooling production. Among them, COMPES SPA, KIND & CO. EDELSTAHLWERK, EXTRUDE HONE GmbH, MARX GmbH & Co. KG, S+C Märker GmbH, Turla S.r.L., Team Décor Toolings SDN BHD, Reisch Maschinenbau GmbH, Elstank AG.
On behalf of the Organization Committee the diplomas in recognition of outstanding achievements and great personal contribution to the development of theory and technologies of aluminium extrusion were awarded to Vadim Berezhnoy (Dr.Sc., All-Russian Institute of Light Alloys), Paul Robbins (Castool Tooling Systems), Joachim Maier (WEFA Inotec GmbH). The diplomas of honor were also awarded to Compes Spa, Kind & Co., Edelstahlwerk and Phoenix International.
Representatives of Turla SRL (Italy), Sib.Profile Research and Production JSC, Tatprof LLC (all from Russia) were awarded with the diplomas of members of the Aluminium Extruders Association.
30 papers of the Russian and foreign experts simultaneously translated into English and Russian were presented at the Conference.
